“I remember us high fiving on Huvilakatu back in 2015. We had just taken the leap into recruitment.”

 

Satu, Camilla, and a Minjon reporter talk about how Minjon got started. The reporter wants to know—how did it all begin?

 

“Law fascinated me from a young age, so I went to law school. Later, I landed my dream job as a tax lawyer at a big law firm. But pretty quickly, I realized I actually wanted a more people-focused day-to-day,” says Camilla.

 

“The challenges of law school and the legal field were exciting at first. I ended up as an M&A lawyer, and sure, my CV looked great—but suddenly, my motivation was gone,” adds Satu.

 

Cliffhanger! What happened next?

 

“So Satu and I were having an after-work drink at a restaurant called Vespa, both frustrated by our lack of motivation. We started talking about how recruiters should really focus on motivation and ask candidates: what makes your day enjoyable? What drives you?” says Camilla.

 

“And that’s when we decided—we could be those recruiters. And that’s how the Minjon story began,” Satu adds.

 

Alright, fast-forward to today—what’s the story now?

 

“Doing what we love and in the field that fascinated us from the start! We get to do meaningful work shaping lawyers’ career paths, and more lawyers have joined our team along the way,” Camilla smiles.

 

“Exactly! It’s amazing to see Minjon become the leading recruitment company in the legal field—we’ve really found our sweet spot,” Satu sums up.
